If Muslim history be taken into consideration many
names come in minds that laid the foundation
of Islam and flourished it .
Among those names one prominent name is UMER BIN KHATTAB .Hazratumer (R.A) was
the great companion of PROPHET MUHAMMAD
(P.B.U.H) .
HazratUmer (R.A) was the non muslim in early in his life . He was the son of Khattab but later on He accepted Islam and served it . He was morally and characterically very good . He was among those whom Hazrat Muhammad (SAW)
informed that they will get heaven after death . Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said many things about him
“ After me Abu bakar is superior than all in human beings after AbubakarUmer is superior than all “ ( PROPHET MUHAMMAD )

These Hadees shows the rank of HazratUmer (R.A) . He
was given the title of
“AL FAROOQ” because he distinguishes right from wrong .after the death of Hazrat Abu Bakar he was elected the second caliph of islam by rest of the companions of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) .
All the four Caliph are renowned for one or another accomplishment. Hazrat Umar (RA) is recognized for his discipline, administration, and the conquests that took place during his reign. During his reign, the Islamic empire stretched to Persia, Rome and even brought Egypt under the Islamic flag. During his Khilafat, he brought reforms and worked extensively on the welfare of his subjects.
Hazrat Umar (R.A) as a caliph bring following reforms :
The establishment of Bait-ul-Maal (State’s treasury for people) was one of his major achievements.

Magistrates and Judges would have courts and would decide on cases.
Army headquarters were established for protection of

Canals and roads were constructed.
The Imams, Teachers and Moazzins were given pay in
schools and Mosques.
Prisons and Police station were built.
The first Islamic Lunar calendar was established and
the Hijrah system was initiated.
Population census was made.
Hazratumer (R.A) gave the instructions to those who
selected as leader from different tribes of area :
His door can never be closed for the people .
He cannot use good race horse for his use
He cannot use good flour for himself
He will always welcome the people to listen their problems and then try his best to resolve their issues
In short, Hazrat Umar (RA) is the role model for every Muslim. He was an epitome of justice, principles, piety, humility and character. He performed all his roles whether personal or professional with due diligence and not a single example can be put forward that shows that he performed his role less than perfect.
