Adolf
Hitler has always been something of a mystery to his at that time followers,
and of course to historians. Part of his passion, at least for his followers
and early audiences, lay in the complete dynamism (vigorous progress) of the
man, his charm and his impassionate, stirring and unrivalled powers of public
speech, were the qualities acknowledged even by his opponents.
But
there is a big question mark regarding the personality of Hitler, that is; does
Adolf Hitler deserve his reputation as a Hero of history.
The reason is
that as wicked crimes like the holocaust where committed under
Hitler’s
rule, aren’t we still committing similar crimes?? History is full of attempts
at racial and cultural genocide like china in Tibet, roman rape policy. The
South African government has attempted ethnic cleansing. And above all……. In
Iraq and Afghanistan and other nations NATO collation has been trying to spread
democracy by killing-off the pre-existing government and replacing them with
our own. The reason behind all this anarchy is its own greed for resources.
Aren’t you people aware of Guantanamo bay and its gross human right violations?
So does Adolf Hitler deserve his reputation as one of the worst men in history?
Or is our history, like Churchill said, “written by victors”. Of course no….
Hitler
was not responsible for what occurred under his leadership because the
structure of the Nazi party meant that policy was not necessarily handed from
the top. So when the orders of the holocaust were sanctioned, he was not the
one responsible for that. Responsibility of this tragedy must be shared with
the others members of his government.
But
if we assume that only Hitler was responsible for what happened, then we should
also assume that he was responding to the problems of his time. Germany had
been broken by the disastrous outcome of World War 1. There was terrible
economic depression. The threat of communism also lay heavy over the whole of
Europe in the wake of Russian revolution. In these kinds of extreme situations,
people naturally turn to extreme solutions. So dictatorship was a way forward
for Hitler, a way to make Germany great again.
It
is usually asserted that Jews were innocent victims of Hitler but they were not
so innocent. They deserved this because of their criminal tax farming and
merciless over charging of debtors. Jews moved into Germany while the great
inflation was raging and bought up everything in sight while the German people
starved. Naturally, the German people resolved to take back what the Jews had
grabbed.
All
of you say that Hitler is 'Evil' because he killed 6 million Jews but have you
ever met Hitler? No...and you never will….You base your conclusion on one fact
that he killed 6 million.
Do we clearly
know why he committed mass genocide? No...
Do we clearly
understand how Hitler thought? No...
