Balochistan
is a province of Pakistan. Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan.
There are many resources in Balochistan
but also the name of Balochistan is at the top of poverity. Balochistan is a province where
population is scattered and absence of roads make.many areas disconnected with
each other .
As far as education system is concerned, there is a severe shortage of
secondary school teachers and science lecturers. Most schools and colleges are
lacking in libraries which is a must. Schools and colleges are without any lab
equipment. In fact, they are even without basic amenities such as safe drinking
water, toilets and gymnasiums which are a must. So, the literacy rate of
Balochistan is 34 percent which is extremely low. Due to threats even Baloch
teachers are bound of migrating towards other provinces.
As far as health is concerned, the present faculty in hospitals across the province is never sufficient to treat the widespread population of eight million people. It leads to a shameful reality that these hospitals throughout the province lack basic amenities for the treatment of ailing people who cannot pay for private hospitals. Owing to inadequate health and welfare services for children, hundreds of children are exposed to life insecurity. Insufficient medical care is adversely affecting children across the province. Healthcare facilities provided by both public and private organizations for the poor Baloch in urban and rural Balochistan are inadequate. On the other hand, the quality of care is limited by the lack of technology and medicine. It is quite unfortunate to share that hospitals of the province (including the capital city hospitals) face a wartime shortage of beds, doctors, ambulances, professional staff and nursing services with free clinics and medicine. People living near the borders travel all the way to other provinces for basic healthcare facilities. Bolan, Kech, Ziarat, Jhal Magsi, Musakhel and Panjgur have the least or no government facilities for providing clean drinking water to the people.
The load shedding in Balochistan will not end even if the country has surplus electricity because of weak transmission network of electricity in Balochistan. . Thus, large number of people of Balochistan is deprived of the basic needs and that is the main reason of growing insurgency because people have no means to earn. As we know, layman cannot reach to assemblies of our country rather layman cannot enter the gate even. Well, let’s stay specific to dear Balochistan, so, if we see the list of MPAs, everybody belongs to influential tribal background. Yes, some are not Nawabs and Sardars but no one is too poor to bear the daily expenses that they needed not only salary raise but allowance and privileges too. We are waiting to see that after such salary raise what are these elected representatives of poorest of the poor people are going to deliver. Maybe these privileges will make them able to think for the betterment of ill fated people and maybe some miracle happens and they think about Baloch rights while being in power.
As they have felt the difficulty to meet their expenditures because of price hike, hopefully that will make them to think about those who are living under poverty line and this though will motivate them to take some steps because this salary and privilege raise are being made possible by the hard work of tax payer who is again a layman and no one else.
Baloch Youth Wing
President Imdad Baloch in Statement; “Occupying Government of Pakistan has done
systematic genocide of Baloch youth and buried them in an inhumane way
