As
a common human being I have always desired so many things. If I explain myself,
I am very determined, ambitious and confident. My family members used to say
about me that I had been a very shy child and they had always thought of me that
I could never achieve anything substantial. Later, when I entered my college
life, I learned a lot. I faced many difficult situations without sharing them
with my parents. I developed confidence in myself by facing all those hurdles
alone as we all know that in life everyone has to face so many unknown
happenings alone and I have experienced that in my life too.
I
have learnt from my professors to be confident, brave and practical. Whatever the
people say to you, discourage you, scare you!!! You have to speak for your
right and remember always…Never step back, Never let down yourself. Once, I got
a chance to participate in a “Fashion Designing Contest”. My parents encouraged
me to show my talent and I was much confident that I’ll do my best. As that day
came, I went to NCA for the contest. I had always desired for this golden
opportunity. I had been designing clothes for the last three years but it was
the very first time for me to show my excellence, my spark in fashion
designing.
The
participants out there were skilledvery intelligent and also well trained. I
used to search for the information about designing on internet which brought a
lot to me. The participants there saw my sketches and designs of costumers and
they humiliated me so much, in an inhuman way for a moment, I got hurt. But the
advice of my elders clicked suddenly. I assembled my things and got ready for
the test. I did my best and gave my portfolio to the examiners and came home.
After a week, I was surprised to see the envelope at my doorstep. That was for
my appointment by the College Dean of NCA as the Assistant Fashion Designer. I
had tears in my eyes my parents appreciated me so much and I felt really happy.
First
of all, I thanked God who gave me that unexpected success and then I thanked my
professor M’amRobina Nadeem who encouraged me a lot. This opportunity gave me
respect in the college and in my family- that after graduation. I will do
masters in Fashion Designing from a reputed institution.
At
conclusion, I would surely like to advise all who will read this…Never let down
yourself and Never step back and prove yourself to the whole world.
